The statistics on the attached chart show how the chapter has been doing for the last few weeks, and they are very interesting. At the moment we are really just setting a bench mark so that we can properly measure our improvement over the future months. 67 qualified referrals in 3 weeks is pointing towards about 100 a month, which has been our average for as long as I can remember. Our very modest goal of bringing 1 referral each, every week (BNI recommend we should be aiming for at least 2 for a chapter our size) would bring us up to 140 a month. That should be achievable very easily by all of us just spending a few minutes during the week thinking about what the other members have asked for.

What is really encouraging is the amount of BNI bucks reported. Obviously, seeing the HK$5million figure there is fantastic and the giver and receiver have to be congratulated. I hope that that job gets past its confidential stage soon and we can all learn more about it. Those big deals don’t come along often though. It is the HK$190K that is more impressive to me, especially as it is made up of contributions from many members. It shows that even disregarding the occasional big windfall, we are still averaging over HK$9K per month each in business generated from BNI referrals.

I am quite sure that as soon as we start applying the “back to basics” techniques that Sonia began telling us about this week, we will see that figure start to skyrocket.

It should be made out for HK$600 to “BNI Attraction chapter”, HSBC account number 400 374724 001, payable on the first of each month. Very important : In the reference field please put your own name, so that we can reconcile who has paid.

If you prefer to continue paying by cheque, please bring one for HK$625 to “BNI Attraction Chapter” to the next meeting. As a further simplification we are going to make it the same price each month, and $625 balances out to the correct amount.
