President's message
Have you ever been to one of those stage shows where a magician greets everyone as they arrive at the theatre, and asks them a bit of personal information, such as their kids’ names or date of birth? During the show he can point to anyone in the audience and regurgitate the information with ease, or pair up people who share birthdays. It’s very impressive. I’ve read up on it and there are all sorts of tricks to linking facts with familiar places, pictures in your head etc. Frankly, it’s a lot of work and it is much easier to write things down.
Talking of which, how do you remember everybody’s ask-for throughout the week? Can you really hear 30 odd descriptions of business wish lists on a Thursday morning and then still remember in the middle of the following week?
After breakfast next week Kristin will use her organizing and facilitating skills to help us design a personal organiser that we can use to keep track of all our BNI “stuff”. That includes writing down the ask-fors in the meeting, making notes for our own 60 seconds, tracking our own referrals given and received, counting BNI bucks etc etc.
Kristin needs input from members to make this as useful as possible. So have a think what functions you want this handy fil-o-bni-facts to do, and help her come up with the ultimate meeting tool. Who knows, if we get this right we could sell them to the other 4,000 chapters and this time next year, we could all be millionaires!
The short month of May and a public holiday makes this month’s Star Attraction competition a bit of a sprint. You have only one week left this month to try to catch Lara. Equally, she isn’t that far ahead – a few tactical guest invitations and a handful of referrals could put YOU up there on top!

Membership Co-ordinator's Message
Thursday 14th May was so energetic and buzzing. Already, several members and guests from this morning have contacted us to express how ‘energized’ they felt after the meeting. They also mentioned that it was a great start to their business day. This week we had 100% attendance from the members and seven visitors. Well done for making this week’s meeting so memorable! Also on another great note, referrals are up 20%!! This is brilliant news for our businesses.

Treasurer's Message
Please remember to fill out a bank auto pay form and submit it to your bank. It should be made out for HK$600 to “BNI Attraction chapter”, HSBC account number 400 374724 001, payable on the first of each month. Very important : In the reference field please put your own name, so that we can reconcile who has paid. You can set the starting date at 1st june and pay by Cheque for May.
If you prefer to continue paying by cheque, please bring one for HK$625 to “BNI Attraction Chapter” to the next meeting. As a further simplification we are going to make it the same price each month, and $625 balances out to the correct amount.
