But as far as I’m concerned it’s a lovely day.
As we are in the season for exciting weather, here is a handy guide to whether you can stay in bed on a Thursday morning or not if the weather is bad.
The simple rule is that if the weather is good enough for you and your staff to go to work, then go to BNI. If …
- Typhoon 8 or above, or a black rainstorm warning at 6:00am : Stay home
- Forecasts show a high probability of T8 before 11:00am : Stay home
- An earlier storm has caused landslides and it would be dangerous to go out : Stay home
- Otherwise : go to BNI
Generally, use your common sense!
When you are forced to stay at home anyway, you will know of 30 other people who are awake and have BNI scheduled in their diary. Why not try a “telephone dance”? Pick a card from you folder, call them up and get more information about their business. I promise you will feel like you have achieved something, even if you spend the rest of the day watching old DVDs and eating whatever you find in the back of the fridge.
Anyway, from my memory big typhoons always come at the weekend so we don’t get a free day off as often as we should.

Treasurer's Message
Please remember to fill out a bank auto pay form and submit it to your bank. It should be made out for HK$600 to “BNI Attraction chapter”, HSBC account number 400 374724 001, payable on the first of each month. Very important : In the reference field please put your own name, so that we can reconcile who has paid.
If you prefer to continue paying by cheque, please bring one for HK$625 to “BNI Attraction Chapter” to the next meeting. As a further simplification we are going to make it the same price each month, and $625 balances out to the correct amount.

On June 4th the Assistant Director for BNI Malaysia, Ooi Wai Loon, visited our Chapter.
He announced a BNI regional event involving networking, business matching and a BNI
Conference. Countries attending: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and HK.
As we would like to encourage members to attend this event, the chapter will sponsor
50% of the entry fee for members who are attending. In exchange we would like these
members to share their learning and gained experience with other members of our chapter
in the meetings after the event.
